  • PULLED CODES: P0234- TURBO/SUPERCHARGER A OVER BOOST CONDITION P1299- CYLINDER HEAD OVER TEMPERATURE PROTECTION ACTIVE P2560- ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL LOW UPON INITIAL TEST DRIVE VEHICLE DROVE NORMAL BESIDE HAVING HIGH SHIFT POINTS IN THE TRANSMISSION (WAS SHIFTING AROUND 4500-5000 RPMS). UPON VISUAL INSPECTION DIDN'T FIND ANY DAMAGE OR ABNORMAL WEAR IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT BUT FOUND TRANSMISSION FLUID BLACK, ENGINE OIL WAS DARK IN COLOR AND COOLANT LEVEL WAS SLIGHTLY LOW BUT STILL HAD COOLANT IN RESERVOIR(TOPPED OFF COOLANT). STARTED WITH AN OIL CHANGE AND REPLACING FRONT BRAKES(GONE METAL TO METAL). AFTER REPAIRS CLEARED CODES AND TEST DROVE AGAIN (10 MILES), ENGINE SOUNDS STRONG AND HEALTHY, TRANSMISSION STILL HAS HIGH SHIFTING POINTS BUT NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS RETURNED. RECOMMEND PERFORMING TRANSMISSION SERVICE AND RETEST DRIVE. AFTER TRANSMISSION SERVICE, DROVE VEHICLE 20 MILES. SHIFTING POINTS HAD RETURNED TO NORMAL AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS NOT COME BACK ON. VEHICLE IS RUNNING FINE NOW, DUE TO THE FACT CUSTOMER HAD DRIVEN VEHICLE ON FREEWAY IN FIRST GEAR FOR SOME TIME THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN UNDER EXTREME SITUATION THAT HAD CAUSED A SLIGHT OVER HEATING CONDITION. DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE CAUSED ANY PERMANENT DAMAGE JUST WORE FLUIDS DOWN QUICKER THAN UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS.
